A Yo Ho Ho....

The one thing I'm usually good at is composition, so let's treat this a quick sketch for now.
A request from the fabulous Beth S.

More Scritch Scratch

The reason you are seeing some more actual drawing from me is because I bought a pad of A4 watercolour paper in the grade that I like.
It fits on the scanner unlike most of what I do.

There is an appalling show on the television called Extreme Makeovers.
They take unappealing people and make them unappealing in a different way.
I had that on while I was drawing last night (I can't find the remote control which means I can't put the DVD player on, otherwise I wouldn't be watching broadcast tv).

This is digital, unlike its brothers above.
I'd like this as a bedspread.

The Gorge

This is Launcestons Cataract Gorge.
I don't know if I've really done the place justice with these cobbled together panorama shots.
It's beautiful here any time of the year.
My friend Beth will note that yet again there is no-one really here.
There were a lot more people about 10 minutes later.

And with light and cheeriness there must also be darkness and something unpleasant.

MORE BUSY, BUSY, BUSY

There is something extremely pleasing about drawing in this way.

Righto - it's the end of my day - late.
Here's something less REALLY FUN than the other two silly things I posted today.
Cute things in peril.
A recurring theme...

BUSY, BUSY, BUSY

Today I am busy.
I am not happy about it.
However I did have a pleasing experience this morning I would like to share.
I normally do not buy a lotto ticket.
Sometimes, but not often.
I did this past weekend.
Today I went to the post office to send some international packages.
The whole lot cost me me $25.50 (Australian $).
Then I went check my lotto ticket and won $25.50.
Hooray for Karma!

Scritch Scratch

Here's an actual drawing - one made by (almost) human hands.
Rather unusually for me it's only A4 sized.
It's for an international buddy.

One part of my job that is forced on me occasionally is having to go and film sexy blonde girls in bikinis.
Unfortunately I'll be doing that for the entirety of today - dammit!
Will happily post some images of the event later this evening or tomorrow.

Update - later in the day.
There are few occasions where the client is right...
I was more than happy to fullfill his demands.

Love Waits

Tom Waits is someone I've rattled on about many times on this blog.
His music continually fuels images and I constantly return to his songs for inspiration.

I don't know these exact people but I know some people like them.

Silhouettes and some other things

A post over at The Doodlers reminded me of these old snaps I took when I was in high school.

Unrelated scared cat (my cross hatching resembles that of Dr Seuss sometimes I think - a kind of refined scribble...)

And woman say something, but I don't know what.

A little too cute perhaps...(the dog, not me).

Story Time With Uncle Elliot

Janet and David loved each other very much....

Done in Painter with heaps of cheesy shit Photoshop additions.

This is dedicated to Charmaine and Carrie

Here's one for Germaine G

I had a break in a busy day to scrawl something down.
Initially I had intended to draw a response to something Grillo had penned (Bugs Bunny with huge tits).
It really wasn't working but I must still have a bit of Chuck Jones on my mind because I accidently drew something resembling his Hasaan character ("Hasaaaaan CHOP!" - you know the one).
As noted, I dedicate this image to Germaine Greer and all her friends.

Eurovision Art Contest - Godiva

This months topic was "Godiva".
I did a tribute to several people vastly more talented than I.
My linework really doesn't match but I think the concept is solid (ugh - I just sounded just like a commercial producer....).
Also - I do a reasonable job of a Chuck Jones Bugs, and I'm pleased with that.

Busy Again

I'm flying solo again at the moment, but I had time to whip this up.
At the other end of these zaps is a stupid fuck sales rep, the anger in which he brings out in me is immeasureable.

This image is unrelated but I feel like this sometimes.

And again, on a completely non-related note, I've just listened to a song that contains one of my favourite lyrics.
I present them to you.
"Like pawn shop furniture, or arrowroot biscuits,
I'm cheap and I'm everywhere and I'm good for 5 minutes".

Bob The Builder

Well.
I'm not much of a handyman although there are some things I've learned over the years through home renovations.
Those regular visitors know that I'm finishing a few bits and pieces of my house so I can sell it.
I've spent the last few days clear coating architraves.
I did the last coat on the skirting board last night with the last dribble left in the tin.
When I woke up this morning I discovered that the end of the tin was all tained and it looked like I'd been painting with glue.
I was not happy.
A quick sand an a repaint with clear coat was all it took to fix, but they will never look as nice as they did before I fucked them up.
I also did a tiny bit of painting.
It's remarkable really - give me a brush and a pile of colours and I'll whip you up something spectacular.
A blank wall...can I ever make it look good?....
I would never ask my builder to whip me up a commercial script or a mural would I, so why do I tackle these little things???

Maestro

Late today!
I was busy.

Miss Pub 2005

This erotic image was inspired by the Canadian infidel Smook, via a verification password on the blog of the Matt Jones, Traitor to the Crown.
I understand my naked form can inspire desire and lust in both sexes....try and control your urges unless you have a loved one who can lend a hand or orifice.

Very Silly Pulp Nonsense

I debated posting this for some time.
It's incredibly silly and not the kind of thing I would normally do.
Overly serious and well...it's utterly silly...but here it is.
I'm busy today and not sure if I'll get time for something a little better.

Added note - I don't have a problem posting violence and sex (which anyone who knows me well realises).
My issue with this picture is simply that it's dopey, high school stuff.
Cheers.

Moron

I took my hands into my life today getting my lunch.
This is an accurate and to scale diagram of the event.
I was waiting to turn into a carpark and the dumb bitch in front of me thought it would be a great idea to stop in the entranceway to the carpark while she looked for a spot.
Leaving me in the path of the oncoming traffic.

Fortunately I've seen King Kong twice in the cinemas so I knew how to get the aggression out of my system (note the accurate car drawings in both images).

Bushfires are horrible but they are also responsible for some wonderful sunsets...
