In The Meantime - Migrating Birds

UPDATE:
I just worked out how to embed this thing in high quality, which is very nice indeed.
Hooray!

I'm still waiting for the audio to be done on my new Boxhead and Roundhead cartoon (which I can reveal is called "Brothers In Arms").
In the meantime:
The talented guys of the Canadian band, Migrating Birds, paid me a million dollars to expand "The Power Of Flight" to use as a music video for their song Fearless.

The Counterfeiters

Saw a great film last night called The Counterfeiters.
It starred this ferret faced fellow.

France and Russia.

Boxhead and Roundhead are off to France for the Sequence festival in Toulouse.
I also discovered via a random Google search that The Infernal Machine played at the St Petersburg Message To Man Film Festival.
I'm not entirely sure what message The Infernal Machine sends to man, but there you go.
Nice that it played.
I'm sure the Russians loved it.

New Boxhead and Roundhead - TEASER

EDIT -
To my great surprise I discovered that Boxhead and Roundhead had played at NAFF - the Neum Animated film Festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina earlier in the year.
I only found out because they happened to send me a copy of the program.
How nice.

Well I've posted practically nothing for ages and it's because I've been tinkering away at a new Boxhead and Roundhead adventure.
The animation is complete and it's all been cut together.
Once the audio is complete, we'll be off and away and it'll be Youtube and film festivals galore.
We've done some slightly different things with this one which I am sure you'll be thrilled by.
In the meantime, below is a little teaser I threw together.
The new cartoon doesn't have a name yet, but I'll have one soon enough, I'm sure.

Here's some here:

You Tube

I am delighted to report that one of my Boxhead and Roundhead cartoons - At Sea - was included on Youtube's featured items page recently.
In the space of a few hours, it went from being viewed a couple of hundred times, to a current 93, 614, which is lovely.
I've had all kinds of interesting comments, including people after t-shirts, a distinct interest in Matt Saxton's music and one man who told me I smell like pussies, which I am certain is not true.
Incidentally, if you like Matt's soundtrack as many seem to - the tracks can been downloaded from HERE for free.

The Enchanting Adventures....

I'm not going to bother to justify why I did this.
There is a reason, but it's pointless explaining it...

And here is a link to a free two and a half hour Tom Waits concert, recorded merely a month or so ago.

Missy

For months now I've been dragging Rebekit to every Australian act who earns enough pocket change to fly to the US.
Last night we saw Missy Higgins, a very smart vaguely folk alterna-rock musician from my hometown of Melbourne.
It was fucking terrific.
For those who care about vaguely folk alterna-rock, here is a clip of her finale - a song called Steer which is particularly good for listening to when driving down highways in a carefree manner.

Hooray For Italy

What is it about Boxhead and Roundhead that the Italians love so much.
So far they've played in three Italian festivals and this will be followed by a fourth - Malescorto, in August.
BnR also have their first public screening in North America, at Pictoplasm, here in New York City.
