The photos are very interesting Elliot. I really like feel of the top one, has a great tone of mystery and suspense to it. Where did you take those?

Smooker - these pictures were taken in a very exotic location and with specialised materials, by which I mean it was shot in my bedroom with a small cutout character at the end of a rather long box that was the packaging for a standing lamp.
I used the same lamp to light the end.
Thoroughly low tech.

My favorite bit about live action directing is fudging the shot with additions to make it look like something that really isn't there.
Do you know Terry Gilliams "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen"?
It's full of these love little models - not designed to look photoreal and even more delightful because of it.
