Gardening incident

I hurt my back this weekend while doing some gardening.
This quick sketch should explain what happened.
I always manage to hurt myself in a gardening situation.
Snapped archilles.
Dislocated knee.
Backpain.
I hate gardening.

I'm laughing, too. Those are the most lovely accident sketches I have ever seen, Elliot. Before sympathy is expressed, and it will be, it appears that gardening in your neck of the woods is accomplished by standing up and leaning back on a fence. I bet you were admiring your work.

I hope you have exaggerated your damages as they sound brutal. Snapped Achilles tendon!? Arrrgh. I'd buy you a pint if I could.

I was genuinely dissapointed that no-one saw it happen.
They would have had a jolly tale to tell of a fat tit rolling into the road.

Theo - yes, I was admiring my work.
And no, injuries weren't exaggerated.
FYI - the dislocated knee was several thousand times more painful than the archilles snap.
Also - there are many Australian occupations in which leaning quietly against something solid is how things are achieved - mostly working for local government.

Oh my. You poor thing.
Hope you're on the mend soon.

Oh I'm fine.
Only some bruising.

Hopefully you'll be back on your feet soon enough.....looks like you're not the only one on the mend, that fence looks like it is in need of a little TLC too!

Get well soon

That's the foundation of all comedy isn't it?

Mel Brooks once said:

"If I fall down a manhole it's tragedy; if you fall down a manhole it's comedy"

Not really a brooks fan, but that quote is priceless

Smook - the fence recovered with minor alterations (mostly involving wiring the fucking thing back into place).

Boris - that's a great quote. Mark my words, I did find it to be very comical.

Alina - thanks so much for popping in. I always take the time to browse your own lovely work.
