A pal of mine who goes by the nickname Sooty.
This is because when started in the workforce he didn't say very much and mostly waved his arms about.
This will probably only make sense to Australian and in particular Brits, 30 and over.

I've seen the Sooty and Sweep show LIVE pal, when they toured Australia in the mid eighties.
