this is very nifty and reminding me of gerald scarfe's development for hercules, which disney then homogenised beyond recognition.
Hey Darcy.
Scarfe was a big influence of mine when I was very young and it still crops up from time to time.
I've heard critisisms of Disney's "version" of his work before.
It never really bothered me and I'm as devout a fan as you're going to get.
I know for a fact that he was very happy with the results.
You should look Nancy Beiman up on Facebook.
She worked on the film with him and can tell you all sorts of great stuff about it.

oh thanks eliot I will look her up! I am glad he liked the final Hercules, I guess you go into that situation knowing what will happen- these beasts are great!
Scarfe has been a big Disney fan since he was a little boy...
