Really cool, very smooth/fluid animation, just curious, do you use solids with masks applied (and point-keyframed) to do this?

That was indeed how I did the majority of this stuff.
Some were shapes made in Photoshop that I just manipulated with tools in AE.
wow two kristian's on one comment page!. I wish I knew what solids in masks did. Alas i'm a dumbass. What i can say with the utmost sincerity is i think it looks really beautiful.

The masks over solids is both boring and not worth explaining unless you have an interest in After Effects.
