Hey Edward.
How nice to hear from you.
Your work was something poured over endlessly by my dorky friends and myself.
It was remarkable to stumble across the fellow who did the images.
It was an instant flashback to my childhood.
Stay in touch and thanks for your comments.

hi Elliot
its great to get some feedback
after all these years.
its lovely to know the illustrations were appreciated. after the book was published in 1984 i migrated to australia and have lived here ever since.
actually just last week a work friend of mine told me he grew up on those books.
By the way, i never actually played those games books but it was fun doing the illustrations.
i love the illustration you did for this post.
Do you draw on paper then scan and colour in the computer or do you use a wacom?
BTW have you seen the work of
http://www.billpresing.blogspot.com/
cheers
Edward

Hey mate.
I actually think that Caverns of the Snow Witch, upon it's first printing, had a mistake in it that rendered it unfinishable.
We were obsessed with those damned books...
And thank you.
I draw almost all of this stuff in painter with my Wacom table.
And yeah - I've seen Bills work.
He's very good at that particularly American style of cartooning.

why does this woman have such an agonised look on her face?

Perhaps someone is pointing something dangerous at her.

Mik - stick 'em wherever it fits I guess!

Albert - thanks mate. I had to have "thick" explained to me.
Where I'm from if a girl is thick it means she's stupid.
My friends tell me they like it when I colour my drawings but I don't enjoy it at all...
