Do you remember Henson's old series 'The Story Teller'? There was an episode where this bloke went into some place or other and got 'death' who was this balding kind of monster thing to get into his mystical sack... This reminds of this moment. If this makes any sense great, if not, i find it scary, in a good way... (and, breath.)

Richard - I know The Storyteller well, and that episode especially well.
It's called "The Soldier and Death".
The death character is indeed swaddled in rags similar to this, but is a baby faced creature.
The soldier was played by the talented, Bob Peck, who unfortunately gave up to cancer after he velociraptor adventure in Jurassic Park.

Javier - I am almost 100% certain you've left me a positive comment!
Thank you!

and he tells death:
"oy.. get in my sack!" and death went in, and he flung him into a deep abyss with an even deeper lake at the bottom.
But ooohh woe him." Said John Hurt with his cool nose.

Dammit the soldier had to live forever cos he defeated death.

Actually, he ties the sack to the highest branch of the highest tree.
After some time when the world isn't working properly, he goes and lets Death out.
"I've led you on a merry dance", he says, or something like that.
But Death is so frightened of the soldier that he runs away, never to come near the soldier again.
And the soldier is forced to wander the Earth, never to die...

I spent hours on it.

dammit you're right. A wonderful episode.
It's only a memory now, but the dvd is on the way... meanwhile I'll be singing a merry tune. It's worth a farthing (more), but if you only have a biscuit to share that'll do fine thanks.

Bob Peck was one of our finest actors. God bless him.
