See You Soon

FYI - I brought my laptop and Wacom tablet with me to the United States, but I very cleverly left my Oz to US adaptor in the UK, which is why I'm not posting any new drawings.
I present a very exciting sight - I have never been here but am longing for the experience - I give you, "Pond Nets".
I'll be back on September 5th, hopefully I would have seen this exciting visage before my return.
Also - Happy Birthday Spaceman Mike.

so, elliot, who's responsible for the pretty painting that will serve as our on hold background? and what exciting place are you off to?

Painting by anonymous.
It's visual musak.

I am in the United States of America, perhaps you've heard of it?

Sounds like a date? AT LAST - your Lonely Heart Blog has come good- must be the flowery pic that did it?

Elliot Cowan said...

Rebekit - Kindly offer but I'm not yet likely to be in the area for a bit.

Matt - exactly. The shitty poppies watercolour has women messing their pants.

Lathes are awesome.

this is the stranged series of replies I've seen in a while.

Umbrellas are kindly.

These series are like the meeting of an umbrella and a sewing machine in an operating table.

I believe that a life of baking and the production of gravy is the answer to world peace.

we've been on hold for a while. thanks for the lathe. a little rock and roll to keep us awake.

Elliot Cowan said...

You can continue to hold whatever it is you are grasping for a little longer.

Elliot, what is the answer to world war?

Oscar Grillo said...

Elliot, what is the QUESTION to world war?

Elliot Cowan said...

Lofty questions from the Grillos.

Question: Why is there world war?

Answer: Small boring men in suits with too much power and diminuitive penises.

Question: How doe we bring an end to it?

Answer: This is a complicated one. To start with, it involves getting rid of the boring men.
Then somehow convincing everyone else to sit down with a beer and some potato crisps to discuss how we are all pretty much the same bags of meat and water and that sitting down for beers and crisps with potential new friends is much nicer than blowing the shit out of each other.
And then, if we still don't like each other (because let's face it, it's hardly expected that everyone in the whole world will get on perfectly) we just say, "Ok, thanks for coming, sorry it didn't work out, take care of yourselves. If you want to consider it, we'll keep sending you corn, and maybe you can keep sending us your oil.
How does that sound?".
Problem solved.
If anyone else has any major lifes questions to be answered then please feel free to ask.
Elliot

I am quite sure that the answer to war is football.
That looks like a formidable 'pond' to me Elliot.....Enjoy! (As they say on your side of the pond.)

I've been to something similar on the east coast...tuna pens.

Where is the big lotto in the sky?

Oscar Grillo said...

Who is more powerful:
the tiger or the lion?

God or Superman?

Is it possible FRIENDSHIP between men and women?

Dog or cat?

What's the meaning of "sexual gratification"?

Boris Hiestand said...

Once we sit down with beer and crisps, one will want Stella the other Hoegaarden. One will want salt and vinegar and the other bbq steak and lime and mint gravy. the war will start again.

Elliot Cowan said...

Limbolo - and you have a nice day.

JAG - big lotto is a smoke filled dream.

Oz - the tiger or the lion?
The tiger in fact. It's bigger, faster and hungrier.

God or Superman?
Superman could whip God any day.

Is it possible FRIENDSHIP between men and women?
This is entirely possible with a little effort on both sides and a great deal of masturbation.

Dog or cat?
DOG!

What's the meaning of "sexual gratification"?
I will have to draw you some diagrams on my return. Perhaps find someone to demonstrate for you.

Boz - This is true, but it'll be an open bar and everything will be free so nobody really has to share...

So Elliot, where exactly in the grand old states are you going?

CILENCIO NO SE CALLA said...

I leave you colleague's hug to colleague, in Cilencio

Elliot Cowan said...

Cilencio - I couldn't have put it better myself.
