Canemaker and Freleng

I had a nice animation day today.
A lovely visit with John Canemaker, then while waiting for my wife at Penn Station, a fellow began to chat with me.
On finding out I worked in animation he lit up, for he is the cousin of the late Friz Freleng.

    I think some of Friz's family came to a screening of Greg Ford's Friz documentary when ASIFA-East screened it @ 2 years ago... Long Island folks, i think.

    The cousin of Friz claimed that at one time, Friz had not drawn in 6 years and that he convinced him to start again.
