Well you'd hardly call it brilliant, but here's the first successful finished thing I've done in Flash - the most unintuitive program in the world.
Hopefully in the future I'll be able to manage something a little nicer than this.
But here you go.
A really big thanks to Simona for the tutorial, and to Paul for asking her for me.
a masterpiece!
ReplyDeleteyou call flash unintuitive? Try Maya pal.
Get MOHO, you could have done this very quickly using that app:

I'd say it was very successfully done! It's nice to see Boxhead up and moving about. The cycle on the birds is appealing as well. Looking forward to seeing the next masterpiece......
ReplyDeleteBless you both.
ReplyDeleteMasterpiece?...
Elliot, man, this is great!
ReplyDeleteI can imagine Boxhead is hallucinating one of those beautiful curvy women you draw, she doesn't appear to be keen on Boxhead though. It's sad when your own hallucinations find you repulsive.
I agree with Boris, Maya or even AfterFX are the clunkiest pieces of... well you get the idea.
This was a few of hours of AfterFX this week with a friend from the States.
Perfect! I love this - your character moves just how I'd imagine him to!
ReplyDeleteRich - I disagree one one point only.
ReplyDeleteI think After Effects is extremely user friendly and intuitive piece of software.
I think when you accept Flash's limitations and then work with it rather than against it, it comes into its own.
ReplyDeleteHey Elliot congrats!I am glad you gave life to this charakter!:o)
ReplyDeletec not k ;OD
ReplyDeleteNice one, interesting to see how you take your illustration style into the 3rd dimension. Press on -
