Hey look!
Drawings!
I don't believe I've posted any pencil sketches yet.
I haven't done any in quite some time which is a shame because I enjoy it very much.
I'll comment on only 2
1) Top left is a brief sketch of Philip Seymour Hoffman in the film Capote. I saw it last night and I liked most of it very much. Not a great caricature but the flavour is there for a quickie.
2) Bottom left. Resident superficialist and new girl Nadia asked me to draw a picture of a pretty girl. When I gave it to her her first comment was "She has a gut".
I confiscated it immediately.
And some Photoshop silliness.
Guy with the kitty apparently doesn't know what to do with it.
ReplyDeleteHe appears very "what the hell".
Great sketches like your great comments!:O)I like the girl a lot!
ReplyDeleteShe has a gut.
ReplyDeleteI like photoshop silliness
ReplyDeleteI like how the running girl's hip juts out. You do nice with pencils.
ReplyDeleteYou might hate me for that, but I like your pencil sketches almost better,
ReplyDeleteThe crouching dude with the horns is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI like the big guy puzzled by the little pussy.
ReplyDeleteAnd the other drawings too.
But.
Am I all alone in disliking the pious, boring, sentimental movie about Capote?
IN COLD BLOOD was made into an excellent movie some years ago. Perhaps it's due for a revival.
And do read the book people. You won't find a better one.
There is a warm stream of drivel flowing around Capote these days. It pains me to think of that great, unsentimental American writer being dissolved in this poisonous goo.
Everyone - thank you!
ReplyDeleteAndrei - I am just pleased my jibber jabber makes sense!
Grillo - there is nothing I can confiscate from you.
Smook - cheers man. Aren't you a nice chap?
Boris - and I like you.
Um - hell no. I'm pleased with them myself, I wouldn't have posted them if I didn't like them.
But I can hate you if you wish.
Red - I had intended it to be way with 3 Ys, but your additional Ys are great.
Limbolo - cheers.
I thought there was a lot of good stuff in the movie but it was overrated.
I thought it was shot terrifically, especially the early scenes in Kansas.
And I think you'll find In Cold Blood is currently being remade although I don't recall who with.
