You will note that the blog has had a revision.
I lost a lot of my links.
If you want a link let me know and I'll stick it up (your arse).

More To Come

I have had a new Boxhead & Roundhead cartoon on hold for a few weeks.
I made a good start them went away and had work on and so forth.
I'll have it done soon enough.
In the meantime here is an image that has nothing whatsoever to do with the new film.

Back Soon

Hey team Bag - I'm off to visit another nation.
Before I go, a big thank you to the team at McKeown/Devita who have kept me in tea and bikkies for the last month.
Let's hope there's more loving to be had in the future.
Visit the website - the showreel is tops.
Also, last night The Big Schling and I went to see The Decemberists, a wonderful band from the United States.
I imagine they are on their way to Australia so all my pals back home should try and see them (Lee and Lisa, this means you).
They are not unlike They Might Be Giants, but instead of existential songs about science and planets and states of being they sing about drowning lovers, sea captains and heroines afflicted by unnamed wasting illnesses.
A highlight of the evening was the guest appearance of Mike Scott of The Waterboys, who sang his bit hit Fisherman's Blues with the band.
For those who weren't able to go here is a interesting thingy made up by some youtube dork - a clip of their wonderful sea shanty, The Mariner's Revenge.
(The other thing they have in common with TMBG is that they are a bunch of dorks, which is possibly why I relate to the music).

Dear John

Ode To My Prime Minister

Dear John,
I left our lands some months ago,
And I think that you should know,
That no-one here knows who you are,
But I said "Give him a go!".
"Then tell us all about him" the crowd then said with glee.
I scratched my head,
Said "Um" and "Ahhh",
And pondered the inquiry.
Then after several minutes,
A speech formed in my head.
"I tell you all about John!"
And this is what I said.
"Imagine a special kind of man,
To make your mind go numb.
A man so dull and pointless,
A kind of human valium.
Completely lacking presence.
A thoroughly awful wretch.
And even less personality
Than that parrot in that sketch.
His favourite colour's mushroom.
His car is coloured beige.
His favourite hobby's counting.
It's by these things you should gage,
That despite how much he tries to be,
Despite how much he wants it.
This man is most unfortunately
More a fart than real effort".
"On second thought" I said to all,
"Perhaps it's just as well,
That you've never hear of this dreary man.
To enthuse you would be quite a sell.
Forget I even mentioned it,
Forget I said his name.
Forget he even existed,
And I shall do the same".

Signage

In Camden there is a charity shop.
There is a little sign on the inside of the window that reads:

"Handmade cards by people with mental illness (empty inside)".

I assume they are referring to the cards and not the people.
Or maybe not...

We Are Not The Enemy

This is the thing I've been working on for the last 3 weeks.
Hopefully it'll turn up on Youtube so I can post something a little bigger than this, and at the correct frame rate, and at a better resolution.
It's very frustrating to note that my edits appear to be out thanks to the frame rate change...
This is the most that the record company is allowing at the moment.
There is a little icon that lets you turn the sound off, which I suggest you all do after you've listened to the song otherwise it'll continue to play noise at you.

REMOVED!!!!

More Naked Slob

Is This Better, Grillo?

Also - you may recall my post slightly down the page complaining about the public transport here.
The very wise Andrew Bentos has responded on his own blog.
