Behold! A New Year Is Upon Us

Hello everyone!
I've not updated my blog in a little while as I've been busy working on another Boxhead & Roundhead Cartoon.
It'll be online by the end of next week and will be called "The Infernal Machine".
I have nearly been in the northern hemisphere 6 months!
Does it seem longer....shorter? I'm not sure.
One of the greatest things in the universe that the UK has to offer is that every Sunday on the history channel they play Attenborough documentaries from 6 in the morning until midnight. There is little more pleasing than spending Sunday lazing about with penguins and pythons and leopards and lemurs.
Today they are showing the very new series, Planet Earth, perhaps the most remarkably shot documentary series yet.
I have no idea if it's playing at home yet but if so, don't miss it.
Tonight I dine with fine fellows and will usher in the new year with great new friends and missing the company of old.
I have posted many pictures of Tasmania where I had been living for such a long time, but in honor of a new year (and the fact that my laptop is elsewhere so I don't have any drawings) I'll include some pictures of Melbourne, where I am from.

Boxhead & Roundhead - At Sea

I am pleased to report that I've had an offer from a friendly person to furnish me with some music for my little films so that I can send them around the world without fear of being hounded by music copywrite holders just because I'm using their music for my own purposes without permission.
Here is the nearly finished, a few tweaks needed, second adventure of Boxhead and Roundhead, based on the book of the same name.

Big Head

Thanks to all the good folks who've visited the animated Boxhead and Roundhead. I've had about 3oo downloads and will be revising the soundtrack sometime soon.
For anyone else who hasn't, please go take a look. Boxhead and Roundhead - In The Dark

Um Daddy

Great night out with Boris and Gary Dunn and a plethora of animation types.
Does anyone know the skinny fellow in the beanie who turned up at the end of the evening?
He gave me his number and my phone hasn't saved it.
I believe his name was Etian? Something like that perhaps...
He hires illustrators so it was a number I was keen on retaining.
If anyone out there knows him it would be great if you could help me out.

More Box and Roundhead

Well.
I've been animating the first of my Boxhead and Roundhead books.
It's not finished quite yet, but nearly.
There are some timing issues and I need a few more sound effects on it blah blah blah.
But I think I've managed to keep much of the charm of the original books, and it's nice to see the characters scuttling about the place.
Enjoy.
Show your friends.

Burning

My country is on fire.
Much of it in Victoria, my home state, and Tasmania.

The New Pet

Waiter

Last night Boris, Tony the Tasmania and I went for some drinks, then stopped at an Italian place for dinner.
Our waiter took an instant dislike to the rugged, blonde, broad shouldered Boris (skinny Tony and scruffy me were obviously not a threat to his testosterone).
He mostly took offense to the suggestion from Boris that he'd like some vegetables with his meal.
Obviously the menu was perfectly crafted and no cretinous diners were going to mess with this glowing monument to Italian cuisine.
When we were served our food the waiter threw our plates onto the table.
And during one brilliant moment he asked Boris if he wanted cheese on his pasta and then slopped a big spoonful on before he'd even responded.
He crashed around the table, filled our glasses and then fucked off and let one of his cronies deal with us for the rest of the meal.
No doubt our food was full of spittle.

See You Shortly and Another New Blog

I'm off to Berlin for a few days so I'll see you all when I get back.

In the meantime feel free to visit another new blog of mine, Lovebag, a collection of ads I've posted at online personals sites.
I have decided not to include the responses of punters which have mostly been enthusiastic considering the idiotic nature of most of the ads.

Three Free Pees

I have been browsing the get it for free classifieds online.
For your consideration
Paprika Paste (out of date)
Parachute (sounds a little suspicious)
Parrot (willing to learn, aparently)

St Helens

In Tasmania there is an exceptionally beautiful and wonderful girl who sent me these terrific pictures of a place called St Helens, a coastal village on the east coast.
This is about an hour and a half from where I used to live.
Innit nice???
The dog is an interactive tourist info thing.
When you give it a tickle on the chin it gives a snippet of information about world leaders and their favorite films.

Curious Mystery

Last night I went and saw the new Bond film.
I thought it was fantastic.
It did however, have the worst opening titles sequence I have ever seen.
Absolutely awful.
A nightmare of primary colours and geometric shapes.
